Polar Plunge 2007 : This was Special Olympics Virginia's 15th Annual Polar Plunge Winter Festival--held on Saturday February 3, 2007, between 6th and 9th Streets at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. About 3,000 thrill-seekers attended to brave the chilly Atlantic Ocean wearing nothing but swimsuits and costumes to help raise funds for the event’s beneficiary, Special Olympics Virginia. These are pictures of individuals from OUR communtiy who took the plunge to raise money for our local area---75% of the amount they raised will be sent back to our area. THANKS to ALL of our PLUNGERS!!
